How to read this data

The data presented in this frame illustrates up to 50 feet of a path of egress. With multiple fixtures the illumination is symmetrical about the center of the distance between two fixtures.
Each fixture contains two lamps. The Mirrorlite provides both reflected illumination (from the mirror), for long coverage, and direct illumination from both lamps) that enhances the light falling on the floor under the Fixture. See drawing below

Best results are obtained by using multiple fixtures (units) spaced at a distance so that the mirror reflected beams create as smooth a pattern as possible.

Single lamp data is shown for end of corridor applications. Lamps of 12, 20 and 35 watts need to be aimed straight down, in ceiling applications, to provide enough illumination on the floor to meet the NFPA specification. Single lamps of 50 and 75 watts can provide Path of Egress coverage up to 40 feet.

In all cases it is assumed that the Direct illumination (at the ends of the path of egress) will be provided by two lamps. See drawing below.

A down loadable PDF file of the numerical data for each Path of Egress condition is available.
